A man has been refused bail after allegedly attacking another man with a machete outside a Perth hotel.
The 27-year-old accused allegedly set upon the younger man after he spoke with a group inside a car nearby.
Police say one of the occupants then got out the car and approached the victim with a machete, allegedly hacking into his left wrist with the weapon.
The younger man was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
Following enquiries, detectives attended a Port Kennedy property yesterday and arrested the older man – charging him with grievous bodily harm, common assault and weapon offences.
