Joining their peers Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli decided to invest in real estate in Alibaug.
The power couple purchased a plush villa in Alibaug on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi this year.
Anushka and Virat have reportedly spent around Rs 13 crore. Pictures of the extravagant property were shared by Architectural Digest India. The house has been designed by Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan.

Coming back to Anushka, the actress is currently preparing for her next title, ‘Chakda ‘Xpress’, which is inspired by the fast bowler and former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, Jhulan Goswami, in Leeds, UK, as she has to shoot extensive cricket portions for the film. The film will have a straight to OTT release.
Anushka returns to the movies after three years, given the pandemic and her maternity break to headline Chakda ‘Xpress. The hugely-mounted film, which is tracing the glorious journey of Jhulan, will showcase how the pacer moves up the ladder despite countless hindrances to fulfill her only dream: to play cricket.
Jhulan went on to captain the Indian women’s national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring cricketers in the country. In 2018, an Indian postage stamp was issued in her honour. Jhulan holds the world record for the highest number of wickets taken by a woman in an international career.
Before starting shooting for the film, the actress had already put in months of preparation to get into the skin of the celebrated Indian fast bowler. The film is backed by Anushka’s home production house Clean Slate Filmz and helmed by Prosit Roy.
